Week 4 - Working On the Tank

This week I've been working on detailing the front of my Tiger I tank. The tools I've used the most have been the loft tool, and edit poly. These tolls allow me to create greater detail on the tank it self. The main goal of this tank is to have a detailed model, with animated tank treads. To increase the render quality I have also added four target lights in the scene to achieve greater quality.

Week 3 - Tiger I Tank

This week in max I've been working on making a Tiger I tank, the current struggle with the tank is to get the tank treads to rotate properly. Overall my plan for the model is to give more time in modeling it and post rendering. I've been using path constraint to make the tracks rotate, as for the tank I will be using the line tool to get further model detail.

Week 2 - Cloth

This week in max I have been working with the cloth modifier and shooting for a realistic result. I also made a 200 x 200 plane that draped the box, I also put in four ambient lights for the render to look more clean. with the 400 poly plane, the movement over the box was very detailed.

Week 1 - Continuing Work

This week in max I have continued the work on my medieval helmet and slowly making progress. As usual I have been using planes modeling to achieve the level of detail within the model it self. The main challenge has been dealing with triangles in the model and trying to prevent them so the model is simple enough to still edit. In this screenshot I have used turbosmooth to make it look better.
